The General Conference is the supreme authority of the Federation (the General Assembly), and it is concerned with exercising all the necessary powers to ensure the achievement of the GAIF general objectives by approving the foundations of cooperation among its members and between the Federation and the Arab and the international organizations and federations; and the plans and work programs proposed by the Federation Board for each session The general conference consists of representatives of all the GAIF members; and is held once every two years. The number of general conferences of the union since its inception has reached 29 general conferences and the hosting of conferences since 1990 is as follows: -
